I have a question: does watching TV up close with minus glasses make you even more myopic?  Or the lens doesnt affect near objects?

Some studies of children and young people find a correlation with prolonged near tasks like reading-computer.  Over the years one of the treatments for progressive myopia has been bifocals even in your to reduce the focus 'pull' inside the eye. One of the reasons for the world wide epidemic of myopia is the amount of time people spend on computers, phones, and other electronic devices.  So the most accurate answer would be in some people, especially very young with progressive myopia it does play a part, for most people with simple myopia likely not a major factor.

Many TVs and computer monitors have a way in their settings to adjust the color temperature of the display. To reduce the blue component of light select a color temperature of warm (less blue) or similar rather than cool (higher blue) - has the same effect as using blue blocker filtering glasses.

Prolonged TV and computer use will not cause cataracts, glaucoma, floaters, macular degeneration or otherwise damage the eye. It can cause eye fatigue and strain, and in younger people can predispose to myopia or increase of myopia.

thanks, l read online about something called Blue light from tv and computers, some say blue light is harmful to the eyes others say its harmless, so are you of the opinion blue light from Tv, computers is not harmful to the eyes? l was thinking about purchasing blue light blocking screens for a few hundred dollars, would that be a waste of money
Blue light blockers play to mixed reviews. I have one on my computer, not sure it helps.
