Consider the Crystalens HD lens, which seems to have fewer problems than Restor, which is also a reasonable choice for some people.
Your choice will depend on: how motivated you are to eliminate glasses; how much you need very near (<12") vision; how much you need intermediate (2'-6') vision; how critical it is that you have excellent distance vision; whether you need to drive at night; and whether you really want stereo vision at various distances or could live with each eye set to be clear at a different distance.
Have a good talk with at least two surgeons (the best you can find); find out about all the risks of IOL's in general, and any specific lens you are considering; think about the costs and potential benefits; and have realistic expectations.
Also, talk with the doctors about different options for correcting your astigmatism (Lasik, PRK, LRI's, or Toric IOLs). Each has pros and cons.
I got Crystalens HD's with LRI's, and am happy.
The gold standard best vision, lowest cost, fewest complications comes from a monofocal, aspheric IOL like Tecnis, B&L and Alcon make.
If you want a multifocal first read all the negative postings. MULTIFOCAL PATIENTS POST NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON THESE FORUMS 60 TIMES MORE OFTEN THAN MONOFOCAL IOLS.

Avoid the ReZoom like the plague.

Search the archives in this Forum. Many more negative stories about Rezoom than Restor. I have the newest Restor and it works very well for me.
