Cataract surgery complications

I am 70 years old, had cataract surgery, both eyes 4 months ago.  Right eye fine, but one week later developed inflammation, gel, and large floater in left eye.  Have been on Pred Forte twice daily and to continue for 3 more months.  Left eye is swollen, red, and has a glaze.  Doctor says I have to live with the floater, but interferes with my sight.

If indeed, the large floater is the only problem, then leaving it alone is the safest thing to do.  Rarely, vitrectomy surgery can be done if the floater or floaters are extremely bothersome but be very careful, because there are potential complicactions.  Yag laser treatment to vitreous floaters is done by just a handul of Ophthalmologists and is not mainstream, not standard of care, and not covered by Medicare. I am intrigued by the procedure but cannot at present recommend it to my patients.

Dr, I had cataract surgery 8 months ago on both eyes , and have had many complications with both eyes. I had a secondary catract to develop in just a few weeks of surgery but my surgeon would not Yag laser it at the time because of inflamation. Once the inflamation was gone (it took about 4 months) I had it Yag lasered twice and the cloud remains. Now I am being told that the problem is not in the capsule. It is a cloud in the vitreous. My vision seems the same to me ,whatever the reason for the heavy cloud.
My question is this==could two yag lasers have caused the cloud in the vitreous? I forgot to ask him that .
