Cataract surgery gone wrong

My father has a cataract surgery 22 days ago. Not only has his vision gotten worse then prior to the surgery(he cannot see from far at all), but also he sees a bright light when he opens that eye. The doctor said that the eye should return to normal as long as he takes his eyedrops, but they don't seem to be working very much at this point. What would you recommend? Can anybody help me?

I would recommend a consult as soon as possible with a different surgeon.

I have directed you to the eye forum, there might be some folks that are more knowledgable than I am there regarding this.

Good luck.
