Cataract surgery

I had cataract surgery three months ago on both eyes, and have a black frame around my vision in close up vision.   Is this normal.    I have been given anti inflammatory drops.   Am concerned.

Thank you for your reply.   As I am not from the U.S., could you please explain an IOL exchange, or a piggyback IOL, or yag.    They are not terms that I am familiar with.

Is this a dark crescent temporally (toward your ears) in both eyes?  If so this is call negative dysphotopsia.  You can discuss this with your surgeon.  There are options for treatment.

There a few theories.  It can be corrected and an lOL exchange or a piggyback IOL and may be a yag.  Ask your doctor.
