Cataracts

One doctor told me that I had a tiny, pinpoint visually insignifcant cataract in one eye.  He said this could be a related to near-sightedness.   I am 30.  Very concerned about cataract progression.  What are chances of progression?  And, how long does it take?  Does cataract discovery increase the chances of developing myopic degeneration (my retina apparently appears healthy)

Tiny pinpoint lens opacities (technically a minute cataract) if young people your age generally don't progress.
