Hello Again,
I am seeing my Ophthamologist tomorrow about my eye problems. I am just curious...my father was diagnosed with Reiter's Syndrome and I suffer from degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis in my spine that is getting rather painful. My dad thinks I take after him, but I know I don't have Reiter's.
My eye symptoms have just started really bothering me a lot within the last year or so. In addition to these weird floaters and multi-colored spots, I've also seen patterns like honeycombs upon waking as well. I've also had eye pain, redness and watering in my bad eye that wakes me up in the middle of the night occasionally. It's not bad all of the time though, so I guess that is why I never sought treatment until I started seeing the floaters last summer. Is there a possibility that this is connected to my arthritis and my family history? Just curious.
Thanks for the info! Have a nice night.

Thanks for responding. I have scheduled an appointment with my ophthalmologist. What types of problems or conditions can commonly occur concerning the veins and arteries in the back of the eye?
Be sure you have a Eye MD ophthalmologist make sure you have a normal exam. Such problems have come from problems in the veins and arteries of the back of the eye.

I have the same thing happening to me in my left eye. I used to only have black floaters that began last Summer, but now I am seeing multi-colored spots in that same eye. It's only happening in the daytime when it's bright out. I can't find anything on the internet, but what NSSG mentioned above. Thanks for your help.
One explanation is an overly vivid imagination or a ploy to get attention. Children are difficult to evaluate and conscious or unconscious creation of symptoms for these purposes are very common.
On the other hand she could have an eye problem or even childhood migraine.
I would call your pediatrician and ask for a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist. They are often booked far far ahead so best get her one the list now.
