Complications from detatched retina?

I am 47 and had surgery to treat tears in my retina in May. Upon going back for routine checkups I was treated in the office with a laser in a few other areas of my eye. Now I have blurred vision in my treated eye which i'm told is scar tissue building up. I have a high astigmastism and am near sighted. Plus my father had detached retinas so there is family history.
Q: could botox injections around my brow have caused my retina to deteriorate? Is it safe to resume?
Q: my doctor told me it was OK to resume normal activites and I could wear contacts but could they be making the scar tissue worse? As much as I prefer my contacts I would stop wearing them if they are affecting my vision!
Thank you for your help and guidance

1. No botox injections would not cause these retina problems. Botox around eye can cause droopy eyelid (ptosis) and double vision.
2. Contacts do not cause retinal scars and myopic people often see better with contacts than glasses.
