Conjunctivitis?

Yesterday at work I noticed my eyes were bothering me. Scratchy pain every few minutes and watering. I do wear contacts. I figured they were just irritated or dry and went to bed last night. Today I noticed they weren’t any better. Fearing pink eye, as it’s the weekend I went to the local walk-in clinic to get some antibiotic eye drops if needed. The PA who saw me said it didn’t look like pink eye or a bacterial infection but prescribed me antibiotic drops anyways as a precaution. I can’t seem to find any information on the internet regarding this. I’m using the eye drops (ofloxaxin), but if this doesn’t go away in a few days I will probably make an appointment with my optomistrist. Could any doctors on here tell what else this could possibly be?

In this situation 95% of the time the problem is the contact lens. Either being worn improperly, not replaced properly, sleeping in them, etc. You should leave the contacts out and call the office of the optometrist or ophthalmologist that fit you. Continuing to wear the contacts could cause serious damage to your eye.

The picture is consistent with contact lens caused irritation.

I will also add there is no pus or discharge from the eyes.
