Corneal scar

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have been using contact lenses for the past 4 years (B&L yearly lenses for myopia). About 3 months back i had my first brush with corneal abrasion/scar. My ophthalmologist gave me antibacterial, growth factor and eye lubricant to use. She told me not to use contact lenses for at least a month. The scars completely healed within a week although the right eye took a little longer to heal than the left one.

After 2 months I started wearing contact lenses occasionally. Then about 10 days back there was another occurrence of corneal abrasion. This time too the doctor prescribed me the same medication. Now my left eye has healed properly but my right eye can't seem to be able to focus properly on nearby or distant objects. I can see everything with my right eye but the clarity isn't 100%.

I am a bit worried since my next appointment with the doctor isn't for another 4 days.

Thank you so much for your help

Sounds like you have recurrent cornea erosion and that is annoying but not serious.

Unless you are having severe eye pain and the vision is getting much worse it shouldn't hurt to wait 4 days.

there is no pain and deterioration in vision. From the information which i provided do you think this problem will go away with time or will it require a drastic measure like surgery.

Thank you for the quick reply.
