CrystaLens

D43
I have to make a decision on whether to have the new Crysta Lens implanted when I have cataract surgery. My doctor says the new lens is better at achieving all distance viewing that the prior lens. Is this true and are there any other side affects like halo's of which I should be aware?

So, how did your Crystalens AO implant surgery go? Are you happy with this lens?
I had RK surgery about 17 years ago. Everything was fine until a few years ago when I started to become hyperopic. I am now a +5.5 in each eye.I've been told that Lasik and PRK would be too difficult in my situation. I'm told that my best option would be the Crystalens AO.  What do you think?

The new Crystalens AO is an aspheric design.  It should be better at night .

I will getting this IOL next week.  I developed a cataract after retinal detachment surgeries (pneumantic, ppv, buckle, gas, another pneumatic, and erm peel).
