DARK VISION

HI I WONDER IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME ,MY PROBLEM IS THAT IF I COVER ONE EYE AND STARE AT A PIONT ON A WALL MY VISION GOES BLACK, AND  I ONLY SEE THE OBJECT IM FOCUSING ON ,THIS CLEARS IF I BREAK MY STARE , THIS HAPPENS IN BOTH EYES , IS THIS NORMAL OR SOMETHING I SOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT..

I never noticed this effect until I experienced other strange neurologic-eye symptoms, but I don't know for sure how my eyes behaved prior to this.

Anyway, I'm curious if the population with normal vision experience this, I don't think this is data is readily available.
