Dark circles and air bubbles: symptoms of my medication?

Hello, I take Combigan and Lumigan for high-eye pressure in my left eye.  Often my left eye looks bug-eyed and swollen with a dark, bruise-looking circle underneath.  I also sometimes feel like I have air in and around my left eye and sometimes feel and hear a bubble popping sensation when I move my eye back and forth.

My question is whether these symptoms are due to the medication, or to high pressure, or both/neither; and also whether I should be concerned.

Thanks!

Thanks for your answer!

Not sure if you're still monitoring this, but to address your second statement: my doctors think that glaucoma/high pressure came from prednisone and pred-forte I took last year to treat uveitis and arthritis.

Although chronic use of steroid eye drops can definitely increase eye pressure and nasal steroid sprays rarely increase eye pressure, it is unlikely that steroid joint injections will increase eye pressure.

You don't say why you have glaucoma in one eye so I can't determine if the underlying problem might be contributing to your symptoms or eye appearance.

None of the symptoms you describe is likely due to either high pressure or the medications.  I would discuss them with your Eye-MD.

One thing to add: 5 days ago I had steroid injections in both knees to treat my arthritis.  Does this affect my eye pressure and/or eye symptoms?
