Differences between Aspherical IOL's

Are there any differences between the various aspherical monofocal IOL's? Does it matter which brand is used? If so, which is rated best?

There are not that many out there. There is no conscensus among physicians which is best. If I were having one put in my eye I would choose the Tecnis Aspheric.

Each of the three manufacturers of aspheric lenses claims that their product is best.  I could find no studies comparing the three when I tried researching that issue before my own cataract surgery.  (My preference had been for Tecnis, mainly because I loved their patient education video at www.tecnisiol.com.)  But my surgeon only used AcrySof lenses, so that is what I got--with excellent results.  My suggestion is to choose the best surgeon in your area and use whatever aspheric lens s/he has experience with.
