Does solar retinopathy progress/get worse?

I’ve had solar retinopathy for nearly three years, mild-severe, I had/have the yellow spot on my macula, tiny central static blind spot in both eyes. I followed it up for over a year and doctors said no progression, I really forgot what they said though in regards to the future. Does solar retinopathy get worse or is the damage done and that’s it, nothing more nothing less and nothing more will come from it? Will I suddenly lose more vision? Will it spread? Etc. Some Google searches say it can cause macular degeneration years and years down the line, my doctors never mentioned this and they said “it doesn’t progress” but my memory is fuzzy. Please help thank you
