Vision Regression after Lasik

My husband and I both had Lasik done about 2 years ago.

Our visions were both about 2.0, we had nearsightedness.

However, we were comparing our eyesights the other day and right now I can't see things that my husband can see.
How come my vision as regressed but his vision is still the same?

Will my vision go back to the way it was before I had Lasik done?

Dear hollandlop,

Every person is unique and heals differently.  I would recommend that you seek the care of your eyeMD to determine the vision of the eye and how much regression is occurring.  Most individuals do not regress to their original prescription but can be bothered by small amounts of regression that might cause difficulty with far distance or night vision.

Why don't you compate who has better near vision - I bet it will be you.  Sometimes regression occurs for multiple different reasons.  If your vision seems off, make an appointment to see your surgeon or your personal ophthalmologist to find out why your vision has dropped off.  It is possible that it has nothing to do with the LASIK.  For example you could have something like a cataract or a retinal problem.  Get a new complete exam as soon as possible to get the facts, then you can consider what to do next.
