EKG problems for pre surgery

I went for my pre cataract physical EKG and it came back abnormal/ with possible Ischemia...I have NO health issues and no pain
and no meds and can walk for miles at a time. Not overweight or anything...eat organic foods etc. This idiot has thrown a wrench into my schedule. He said see a cardiologist which would cost me 400$. What a scam.
I want to schedule next week in Orlando for my cataract procedure at a major clinic. I have done my exam there.
Is this BS going to scare off the clinic???  I would guess that 90% of their patients are elderly, worn out, tons of meds and previous surgeries  types of people.Thats just the way it is in Florida. They accept them 3500 times a year. Are they likely to give me a hassle on this??I am early 50s. But didnt wear sunglasses enough. I cant drive at might. Glare is terrible and halos too. I have standard nuclear cataracts. Doctor....would your practice give me a hard time about this??

There is a massive shortage of both primary care and specialist physicians. There are also 32 million more people to take care of with no new money to train new physicians. I don't know of any "under employed" physicians.

It's not a scam and its done for your health. Another factor is all the USA but especially Florida is full of under-employed (because of US Recession) trial lawyers who would love to sue th doctors and hospital if anything goes wrong.

The fact that you are in your 50's and seem healthy does not mean you could not have heart disease. An abnormal EKG is a pretty significant finding. It's possible you were lucky to pick this up before having a heart attack. Postpone the surgery and see the cardiologist if that is what they recommend.
