I need an awful lot of light to see. Is this normal?

Recently, I've noticed that I need quite a bit of light to see properly.  Natural light works better.  When inside, I have to turn on all the lights otherwise I get a headache.  I'm 53 years old.  Is this normal or something I should be concerned about?

Yes you need to see an ophthalmologist Eye MD for a full medical exam. You could need glasses, need stronger glasses, or could have cataracts or macular degeneration.
