Eye Lesion

I had a routine eye exam the other day and was told by my eye doctor
that he noticed a small, white lesion in the back of one eye and he then
referred me to a retina specialist.  He said it could/could not be serious.
My appointment is not for 3 weeks; in the meantime could you
please tell me some of the things it could be?  I am female, 63 yrs.
old w/no vision problems.  Thank you so much for taking my question.

Is 3 weeks too long to wait?  Is it possible or likely that it could be
nothing serious?

There are too many possible lesions.  Wait to see your retinal specialist.
