Eye Pain

My son was hit by a bat in the head. He did not lose consciousness however had stitches and a week later was having headaches and eye pain. Concussion was diagnosed  and CAT Scan was fine and eye specialist saw no damage. However it has been over 3 weeks and he is still having eye pain and headaches. What else can we do?

Have him see an ophthalmologist again.  I would make sure there is no evidence of traumatic damage to the eye and an eye pressure needs to be checked.

If he hasn't yet seen a neurologist that would be a good next step too.  Persistent headache after a blow to the head should be evaluated to check for any other lingering issues.

Thank you and I will have him rechecked. He did see an ophthalmologist last week.
