Eye Pain

History, on April 18 I rapidly developed Cellulitis on my right eyebrow. In the am I went to First Care, he gave me Minocycline. Two days later I was worse, right eye was swollen completely shut and left eye was starting to close. Went back to doc he gave me a shot and oral Amoxic/Clav for 10 days. Still had red patch and swollen, on May 5 doc gave me another 5 days Amoxic/Clav.  Finished last night. NO change, still have red patch and small hard knot by eye brow down to in side of the bridge of nose to corner of eye. NOW for two days when I look left to right I have severe eye pain in both eyes. I will add, I got a head cold three days ago. Is the eye pain related to the cellulitis? Can cellulitis leave scar tissue under the skin? Do you think the pain in my eye is from the cold?  Frustrated. Don't know where to go from here. THX, Daphene

I took your advise and went to the eye doc today. He dialated my eyes and did a color-blind test and a peripheral vision test. I past both. My right eye showed vision loss, and decreased brightness. It seemed a light bulb was turned off when I only used my right eye to see the color test and the bulb came on when I only used my left eye. I see the doc again on friday. In the mean time, he has me taking suafed and Ibuprofen. He's leaning towards a combination of sinus pressure, since I have cronic allergies and sinus troubles. And still having swelling from the cellulitis. He said he's 95% certain the infection didn't get into the eye area.  I appreciate your advise, I didn't know where to turn next.  If you have anymore advise, please let me know.

You need to see an ophthalmologist Eye MD physician as soon as possible. Call an Eye MD today if possible and ask for an emergency exam tomorrow morning. If it gets dramatically worse go to an emergency room. Find an EYE MD at www.aao.org

This is very important. You are not getting better and you have had a ton of antibitoics.
