Eye coating

I had a long hair in my eye and went to the bathroom to try to get it out gently with the corner of a kleenex when I noticed that my eye has a clear jelly like coating that sort of moves around when you touch it.  I'm not real sure how to explain it but it sort of slides around and collects together when you gently move something across it.  Is this tear film or conjunctiva or what?  I've been on restasis for the past few months so I was thinking maybe it was something to do with the tear film reforming itself but I'm not sure.  There's not really any pain or redness.  Is this cause for concern?  Should I visit the ophthalmologist?

Usually its either allergy or irritation. Cold compresses and drops like zaditor often help. If it persists see an Eye MD. Weak steroid drops like Alrex or FML are almost always curative.

Thank you so much for your reply.  It looked like the same thing was going on with the eye that didn't have anything in it too.  Seems like the conjunctiva is loose or something.  Like when I was getting that hair out it looked like it was folding/buckling on itself and looked like it had the potential to be peeled off but I doubt it.  I guess I had never seen folds/hills in the conjunctiva before and it scared me.  Should I be concerned and see a doctor or just not worry about it?

That's the conjuctiva. Since you had something in the eye it likely was somewhat swollen. ReStasis would not cause that problem.
