My right eye is now obviously drifting to the right. I have had surgery x 3 for RD's and then silicone oil removal and membrane peel, all since January. I started with 20/20 corrected vision in that eye. After 2nd surgery in Feb. my vision has gone to finger counting only. I am having cataract surgery soon for 4+ cataract that developed rapidly after all the other stuff. I had been told at my recent visit with my retinal surgeon that when my vision improves then my eye should straighten back out. I was informed today by the doctor who is doing the cataract surgery that basically I am having the cataract removed so the retina can continue to be seen and so my eye doesn't turn white. He doesn't expect any increase in vision. Okay so I have pretty much adapted to losing my right eye vision because it's been nearly a year now. However, now I am concerned about the cosmetic issues. I don't want my eye to be turned outward forever. What can be done now? Thanks.
