Anterior Capsule Inflammation

It's been 10 days since the PVD occurred in my Left eye.  Since then I developed pain around the orbit
of my eye and with movement which has gotten worse.  My retina specialist would not see me because they said the pain wouldn't be due to a PVD.   I was told to call my Glaucoma Specialist which I did.  My doctor got me in the same day and he told me I now have inflammation in the Anterior Capsule of that eye.   I wrote this down so that's how I remembered what he called it.   I've been put on steroid drops every hr and told to come back in 2 days.

Does a PVD usually cause this inflammation???    Also in 10 days time this eye with this PVD seems to be swimming underwater with lots and lots of vitrious movement in addition to the nasty Weiss Ring jumping into my direct vision. As the vitrious thins out can the location of the Weiss Ring change so that it may relocate out of my line of vision and jump to the side instead of across it.   This is unbelieveable but I'm sure they are a lot of worse eye conditions.  This one seems to drive you nuts but no one mentions that aspect of the problem.

I hope this doesn't embarrass you but Dr. Hagan I could give you a big hug.  I'm still waiting for Neuroadaptation to occur. After hearing about yours starting to take place I have more hope then ever.

I know my Retina Specialist would tell me Patti look around this office.  Inspite of your two nasty bouncing Weiss Rings (one in each eye) you still have the best vision compared to the other patients here today.  If you had a PVD and got away clean with out retina tears or holes count your blessings.  Others here were not sooo lucky.

I just wish some doctors and especially their technictions would stop telling patients Weiss Rings go away.   Floaters can deminish and Neuroadaption apparently can happen but there is no trap door in the back of the eye letting those floaters and Weiss rings out.

Unless a technician actually has double Wise Rings constantly bouncing in their direct line of vision 24/7 they have NO idea the anxiety and worry it can cause.  Having them wear a simulator pair of glasses for a week would get the idea across quickly.
God Bless You Dr. Hagan along with the other doctors who respond to questions on this webstie.

PVD is not painful. PVD in the abscense of other conditions does not cause inflammation. Yes a Weiss Ring can do that. I developed a PVD and a Weiss ring about 3 months ago. Two visits to the retina specialist and I do not have any holes/tears. Neuroadaptation is starting to work and I normally tune out the Weiss Ring. Every time a poster mentions a WR I see my own.
