Seeing odd image (see photo or pic & details) a line with circles of light embedded

The circles seem to emit light. I don't always seem them however, they go away for a couple of hours then return. Also, just when looking down to the left and occasionally looking down. Left eye only. No pain. Please see picture. Sorry, I am no artist. ;-)  Also, I have had migraines in the past but I see something completely different when I get those compared to this recent experience.

Nothing in your post allows a definitive diagnosis. Start with an examination by an eye MD ophthalmologist.

Hi thanks for the quick response!  However that is part of the problem. My insurance seems to not think it is serious enough to give an ok to go see an eye md ophthalmologist. In fact, they can't even get me in to see an optometrist until February! It is frustrating that it appears someone in a cubicle is making decisions that a professional should be making.  I rather take preventative measures to save the insurance money, instead of waiting until something becomes an emergency or major issue.  Today when I woke up I saw the longer string again with balls of white/light? Not so much anymore as I type this.  I guess I will call a provider directly on my insurance list and see if they can get me approved for an appointment.  Incidentally, I have never used this insurance for vision issues. Thanks again.
