Watchful waiting is not the same thing as blatant neglect. If your examinations are "normal" than you can see what happens over the coming months. If something new develops or things get much worse then you need re-evaluated perhaps with the services of a neurologist.  If things stay the same or better then perhaps not get overly concerned. Close work and computer work does not cause eye damage.

Most people that are aware of entopic phenomena are not bothered to the extent that you are. I would suggest you see a neuro-ophthalmologist for another opinion and to see if you need any additional work up. You can go to www.aao.org  use the Find and Eye Physician, enter your local area and choose "Neuro-ophthalmology" to find such a trained Eye MD (ophthalmologist).
