Hi, I am 22 year old and about 4 years ago I had retinal detachment surgery followed by surgery to remove bleeding after the retinal detachment, and then I had cataract surgery after that. Today I noticed that sometimes I see a tiny/faint flash of white light when I move my eyes and it doesn't happen all the time. I went to the doctor today to have it checked and he said that he thinks that the retina looks great, but he sees movement in a small portion of my retina, which may indicate that I have fluid behind my eye (sadly my only good eye). He referred me to a specialist that I will see this monday and he said that either I will not need treatment for it at all, or I will need to do lazer surgery. I am very worried about this and I want to know if this can end up being a serious issue. Please tell me what you think. Thank you.
