Ghosting? Tired eyes??

For nearly a year, everytime I wear my glasses for awhile (maybe more than 15 mins) my eyes start to become blurry and I notice it when Im watching tv or when driving. It doesn't effect me but basically the words on the screen for example start to have a shadow underneath them almost like its 'bleeding' down the words. It's not all the time either its only when I wear my glasses for awhile or if its late at night.

I went to the optometrist awhile ago and he said my perscription was fine so I went to the doctors to see if it was neurological or something like that and he told me that it wasn't and that behind my eyes are fine and the fact that the words are perfect and not blurry when I look through a pinhole (that he told me to try) means that its nothing to worry about.

I stopped wearing my contacts thinking it could be related to them as I had only started wearing them for the first time just before I noticed the ghosting effect.

I know I have a bit of astigmatism as ive been told that before. But my doctor suggested it could be dry eyes and severe tired eyes (from looking at the computer and not exercising them). It made sense seeing as if i do an activity for a few hours to take my mind off of it then put my glasses back on the ghosting is usually gone and my vision is clear. So I was wondering if thats a real possibility that its just dry and tired eyes? If so is there any way to test this? Or fix this problem?

Any help is much appreciated!

You have not seen a medical eye MD.  Consider going to www.aao.org and looking for a "cornea-refractive surgery" ophthalmologist MD.

Your problem could be due to corneal disease, cataract, incorrect glasses.
