Hey dear doctor I am worried about Acanthamoeba Keratitis

Dear Doctor il start to first tell you about how my pain started. About half year ago I was a first time contacts lens user, I brought the aosis actuve contacts. The provider told me to use the All purpose bio true solution to clean my contacts and to store it okay.when I was on my own I got into the habit of cleaning my contacts using the solution and for some reason started using tap water to clean it after using the solution because I thought the water would wash off the solution to avoid adding that chemical in my eye. Then I stopped using the contacts. I began having eye pain and developed alot of eye floaters I went to the optomoligist and he said nothings wrong. My eye wasn't red. Weeks later I still have pain in my left eye. Do u think it could be Acanthamoeba Keratitis? Maybe is not detected or something.?

Acanthomoeba is a fulminating infection that can destroy an eye in several days. It is not difficult to diagnose. Nothing you describe remotely resembles it. Use Google images and pull up the ugly pictures of an eye with Acanthomoeba.

So doctor I got 3 questions thank you for your time doctor ive been struggling with this issue for a while .

what do u think could be cuasing my pain. Could it be the multi bio true solution? I heard it destroys proteins from the lens maybe my eye was effected by it.

I must say that I developed so many eye floaters just after this all happened what do you think is the reason?

Just after all this I started loosing my eye lashes and always have an eye lash stick un my eye I have to use a cotton swab. Why is that?

Floaters are one problem. They are not a cause of pain. They would never be related to using water on contact lens. The important thing is a good retina exam to be sure you don't have bleeding in eye, retinal tear or detachment.

Unfortunately there are many causes of eye pain, just like for instance chest pain.   If your contact or the solutions used on them caused damage it should be easy to see on the cornea.

Losing eye lashes usually comes from an eyelid infection called blepharitis. Again no way it should be related to the contact or solutions.     You probably are going to need to get a second opinion perhaps from an EyeMD ophthalmologist that specializes in cornea and external disease.
