How big does something need to be to enter your side vision?

I'm 19 years old, and rather curious. If I open up a white page on the computer, and look to the side with either eye, I notice the cursor enter immediately once it hits my field. Although, if I make the mouse smaller, at a certain size, it takes a little bit more time to become noticable in my field? It's perfect symmetry in both eyes.

That is how a test of peripheral vision is done. Testing the side vision with different sizes and intensities.  Similiar to the way hearing is tested with ever fainter sounds.  The smaller size is harder to see

So this is a normal finding? both eyes have the exact same results. My last eye exam was all well but I didn't do a field test at my age.
Can't say for sure but normally the sensitivity of the peripheral vision is the same in both eyes
