raised eye pressure that can sometimes result in glaucoma is often the result of anemia so I found out on various web cites, I now take brewers yeast, cod liver oil,500mgs of vitamin c,and vitamin e as alternatives to eye drops and my eyes are greatly improved.Perhaps glaucoma is because of malnutrition!!

This entirely true. I have cured several "incurable" ailments with vitamins and supplements alone. The most remarkable was getting rid of a very nasty case of varicose veins. Traditional doctors only know prescription medications. They seem to know almost nothing about supplements and nutrition. Unfortunate because prescription medications can have serious side effects; the natural stuff doesn't.

I should have explained that sciatica is also a nerve problem. And if you have a sinus problem, you might try vitamin B5 which is a natural anti-inflammatory and mucus thinner. I started taking 500 mg daily to treat chronic bronchitis and found, much to my surprise, that I no longer got sinus headaches.

Your comment about the cold medicine improving your vision intrigued me. If your optic nerve is damaged, that sound rather permanent - but obviously it isn't. I had a bad case of sciatica about 20 years ago, and no treatment, including acupuncture, helped. So I started experimenting with different supplements and vitamins, one by one. Then came the turn of vitamin B1. I took a big dose - 500 mg. That was the end of my sciatica. (After that I dropped to a normal dosage.)

Why don't you try all the vitamins related to nerve function. Take them one at a time so that you can be sure of the effect, or lack thereof. The treatment won't kill you, and it might help.

Many problems in Medicine don't have answers, some things eventually are diagnosed but only after time passes and more of the disease is exposed. Stay in regular touch with your neuroophthalmologist.

There are so many possible causes of optic nerve damage it is not possible to offer you helpful information. Hopefully one of the doctors you saw was a neuroophthalmologist, that would be your best source of information
