I have painful eye pain but no redness, what could it be?

Hello,
I woke up yesterday with both of my eyes feeling somewhat sore and I figured it was caused by me having not taken my allergy medicine for a week. I had an allergist appointment so I had to go off of it for a week. However, today the pain is really only in the right eye and every time I blink I feel like I’m pushing on a bruise in my lower outer corner lid. If I touch the outer corner it feels like a sharp pain bruise. There is no redness so that ruled out several things but I’m not sure what it is or if I should get it checked out. My eye looks completely normal other than the fact that it’s a little more closed than the other one.

Your symptoms do not suggest allergy.   Allergy is almost always in BOTH eyes, does not cause point tenderness and the primary symptoms is itching  with minor watering and perhaps some swelling of the lids. Point tenderness suggests possible early stye or blocked oil gland (chalazion) or eyelash or foreign material in eye.  Ask your allergiest to take a look. You may need to see ophthalmologist or optometrist.

I’m having the exact same issue!  Started two days ago and seems slightly better today.  I think it might be allergies.  Hard to tell if the pain is behind my eye or if it’s the eyelid.   I’m trying Zaditor drops. Let me know how you make out.
