I see a purple spot in the middle of my eye when I look to my extreme left/right

Hi, can anyone help me with some things I've been seeing lately? Whenever I look at my extreme left or extreme right, for a brief moment I feel as if if can see a purple dot in the middle of my eye.its not small but neither too larger. This happens on both eyes. Another problem is that if I have a light source like a lamp in my peripheral vision, it suddenly gets covered by a blue-ish ball but when I look directly at it, it vanishes. Can someone please help me? I'm scared I might have retinal ruptures. Also I see a lot of floaters too.

You have to start out with an examination of your eyes by an Eye MD ophthalmologist with dilation of the pupils and perhaps some extra tests like macular OCT.   These types of thing are often entoptic phenomena.   Read the section on Wikipedia on same.
