Is there a stat on bilateral congenital cataracts that are related to syndrome?

I was born with lamellar cataracts in both eyes. I still have one of them in my right eye and the left I have an IOL with very good vision in both. I am now 24 and have seen a geneticist (pediatric given this is since birth) who said they don’t believe I have any underlying condition. (I do have ptosis and joint hyper mobility but they still think I’m fine)  Now I’m not terribly worried as I understand the majority of systemic diseases associated with congenital cataracts are very noticeable and things time alone has ruled out for me personally however I keep finding contradicting evidence of information regarding bilateral congenital cataracts. I have read that bilateral congenital cataracts have a 5-10% chance of being linked to a larger disorder, I’ve also read they have a one in three chance of being linked to a larger disorder and I’ve also seen they were said to have a 60% chance of being related to a bigger disorder. I am very confused by that contradicting information and was wondering if there is a more concise set of info used by eye doctors etc. I just can’t help but read about the issues and wonder why more tests weren’t ran when I was a child given I have absolutely no family history of congenital cataract.

You have a lot of health concerns. I see you have posted over 160 times. I would stop worrying about the likelihood of a major systemic disease from your cataracts. If you were going to develop any 'cataract related syndromes' they should be apparent by now or discovered by the geneticist you saw.  This is a good reference:  https://www.aao.org/disease-review/pediatric-cataracts-overview

Thank you for your comment, I know I should be calm as like you said most disorders tied to something like that are either very apparent immediately or before adulthood. I apologize for spamming the site and simply have always been very involved in my health. Often times something I thought was normal turned out not to be when I was a kid and I believe it’s led to me searching every corner for something potentially wrong. Thank you though for your comment.
You are welcome. Stay well.
