Lingering swelling following removal of chalazia

It's been two weeks since I had 3 chalazia removed from my left eyelids (2 upper, 1 lower), and although my appearance has improved, my upper lid is still darker and a bit swollen. What disturbed me was the opthamologist telling me it may never look like it did before, although it's not that noticable unless I call attention to it.

My question is: is it too early at this point to determine how far the healing will ultimately progress, and is there a further step I could take to clear up any long-lasting swelling?

Thanks!

Thank you for your response, Dr. Kutryb. I'll give it time, then go from there.

Takes time - sometimes a month or two.  Sometimes a second procedure or steroid injection is needed.  I don't understand why it would not eventually get back to normal or near normal.
