Liver transplant patient plus marijuana = ?

My dad has had a liver transplant 2 years ago, he is on immunosuppressents, namely, Tacrolimus. He would like to know if smoking marijuana would be harmful.

Thank you

I understand, any idea where I could ask it? I am worried about him, he thinks I am just trying to make what he is doing sound bad so he does not do it. He won't take my word for it. He is afraid to ask his doctor, and I am afraid to get him into trouble. Im also afraid of the side effects being deadly as a result of our fears of asking trained professionals.
