Looks like I have a white canker sore on my lower inside eyelid...

It looks like I have a white sore on my lower inside eyelid...I have had canker sores in my mouth before and it looks like a mini one of those. I had lots of crusties around my eye this morning & slight irritation when I rubbed my eye. I have been putting warm compresses on intermittently all day long, could this clear up on its own? It is not bothering me much and I would have to pay the eye doctor out of pocket... Thanks for your opinions!

Probably because a good eye antibiotic like erythromycin is available at WalMart's for $4.00.

Wow, I live in Canada...not sure why this medication is not even used in the US?? I googled it and read a lot about it...go figure.

I have never heard of fusidic acid so its not a treatment that's used in the USA.

Use warm compresses. If it gets painful or worse see a GP or Eye MD opthalmolgist.

Please see my post from yesterday.  Like you, I have a small red sore on my lower inside eyelid. My family doctor prescribed 'Fucithalmic or Fusidic Acid' (apply topically to the affected area) .  It's only been 2 days, the sore is pretty well gone although I am supposed to use it for 7 days.  Best of luck!
