Hi there, I was just wondering the results of your eye symptoms? This is my full week of non-stop eye flickering, I have been examined by two Optometrists, been dilated 4 times, depression tested, and vision tested (which I failed in the location of the flickering)...but they can't seem to find anything wrong. Did you ever get a diagnosis for your eye issues? Thank you for your time.
Hi Sandra ,
Thanks for the reply, My doctor tested using the depression also and said everything looks ok and that since i dont have much power also , my chances for rd are low.
My doubt is ,is it possible that my current symptoms are related to retina , given that i had the dialated test only 15 days back ?
You may be having "flashers". Flashers are caused when the vitreous gel in the eye tugs on the retina. You should have a full dilated eye examination with "depression", which means that the doctor uses a special metal probe to push on your eye so that the peripheral retina can be viewed in detail. This examination could allow the doctor to detect early tears in the retina which can be treated with laser, thereby preventing a retinal detachment.
You are at greater risk for retinal detachment based on the history of trauma.
