Minor cut from scratching eyes inside my lower eyeli

This morning I was scratching my eye and suddenly felt like as if I had something stuck there. Kept scratching and rubbing before checking out to see what it was--lo and behold, I somehow managed to scratch the inside of my lower eyelid. Immediately used tear drops and stopped scratching my eye. Talked to a few friends and they claim that this happens a lot, but I'm not entirely sure of that. Are there any risks to my vision from this? Infection/Keratiitis/etc?

Most people at some point will accidentally scratch their cornea. It hurts like a mother but it heals very quickly. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/14423-corneal-abrasion It is extremely natural to want to rub and fiddle with your eye. Try not to because leaving it alone is the way it heals. My guess is you wake up tomorrow and it feels better. If it does? Then it was the normal thing that happens to us all. If not, then give your doctor a call. You can call your doctor about this, just your gp. I had a friend once go to the emergency room. Had a scratch on the cornea and they applied an ointment to it there. Then sent him home with the ointment. But this was a wound that he made falling into a corner of something hitting his eye. (hurts me to just say that--  ouch). Let us know if you feel better after a nights sleep (eye shut for sleep time, HEALING).

Hello~It would be wise to see either the optometrist or ophthalmologist to rule out anything serious.

First, you should stop scratching your eyes for any reason.  If they itch, rinse them with a bottle of PURIFIED water.  Second, you should see an ophthalmologist - that's the eye doctor that treats illnesses of the eyes.
