Multifocal for second lens?

Hi. I was around -6.5 in each eye with 2D of astigmatism in the right eye and 1D of astigmatism in the left eye.

I was diagnosed with a cataract in the right eye around March 2012. In August 2013 I had the cataract in the right eye removed and a monofocal lens was installed – it was a Sensar 8.0 I believe.

I am now +0.75 with 1.0D astigmatism in the right eye.

I believe I have a very slight cataract in the left eye  and am unable to wear contacts for more than a few hours although I am ok wearing glasses even with the large differences in the two eyes.

If I have another monofocal lens in the left eye I now realise I will loose all my intermediate/reading vision, so I am wondering if I should have a multifocal or a trifocal lens installed in the left eye to keep some close up vision.

Or is it better to not mix monofocals with multifocals and just stick with another monofocal lens?

Thankyou for your comments, not to be rude but are you an optical surgeon? - I was hoping for expert input.

Probably not a good idea to mix..probably better to go with monofocal with mini monovision (about -1.0 diopter)....try simulating it first with a contact lens test for that eye...
