My blind spot is blackish/grey?

Hi, so I went to the Ophthalmologist a month ago, he did various exams and looked into my eyes. He said everything was fine. But for 3 weeks now I have been seeing like a flash of light on the right corner of my left eye everytime I move it. I mostly notice the flash during the day. It seems that these flashes are triggered when my eye moves. What could this be? Also, this last Tuesday I got a really bad headache that lasted all day and night long. I couldn't sleep well that night. The next day my natural blind spot of the left eye started flashing everytime I blink and it's of a kind of gray black color when I look at the sky and then it dissapears but it reappears again if I look away and look at a clear or bright place, then it disappears again. I'm still seeing this and I'm kinda scared. I'm gonna see another doctor to get a second opinion. My mom said it could be a rare form of migraine that's persistent but I don't know. What could this be?

This is new since that exam and needs to be addressed.  You need to see a retina specialist right away to make sure there are no tears or holes in your retina.  Find one at www.aao.org.

Well...I had a retinal detachment and had flashes of light at the beginning, so I wouldn't waste too much time getting a second opinion.  Trust me, better safe than sorry.  Perhaps go to a retinal specialist this time.
