Hello Dr. Hagan

I have a question, i read that some people are being switched from contacts back to glasses because aparently contacts cause problems with retina, such thining retina.  I wear RGP's and have degenerative myopia.  Could you please tell me if hard contacts can have adverse affects on retina?

Thank you so much for all you do for us,
Alex

Contact lens has no effect on the retina at all.  The problem with switching back and forth between glasses and contacts is called spectacle blur where glasses not near as clear as contacts and is due to contacts temporarily warping or bending the cornea out of shape.
