You may try NovaVision. It was developed to help brain stroke patients try to expand their field of vision, but perhaps their web site has some information on neural adaptation. Also ask your surgeon. The starbursts after the YAG laser might result from a capsulotomy opening that is too small. If this is the case, enlarging the opening with a few more YAG shots may help.
Thank you for your reply, I saw him Thursday and he talked about retouching the capsulotomy but ask me if I wanted to try Pilocarpine before
saying that he saw some improvement with some patients. I agreed but I hate these drops they make my floaters more apparent I see them a lot, worst if reading a white page or the PC, the contrast is lost, I can not see black thread on black fabric, I have to give up my favorite crafts , the floaters are left over of retinal tear and age. It does help the glare and haloes a bit but not the starburst at night and the strong reflection of sun on icicles and mirrors . I think that if I have to chose, I will go for the clear vision I gained form the surgery against the light abnormalities.
I will try for more YAG . I did not have time to discuss with him neuroadaptation, his day was long and too many people in his office at 6 pm I was exhausted these appointments are tiresome. I will see him in a month. I will have a look at Nova Vision, I am determined to have this whole thing work for me. It has to work I will not go back to surgery to explant.
