New prescription, eyes hurt.

I recently got a new pair of glasses after 2 years. I have only been wearing glasses for 2 years and I am 22 years old. I needed new glasses so I went and got an eye exam, the optician said my eye improved on my left eye but I was shocked and doubted it since I had trouble with my old glasses at a higher prescription at times. I've been wearing the new pair for 2-3 days and I've been having terrible headaches and eye strain, especially in the eye she said had gotten better. Should I take the glasses back or am I just adjusting?

New Rx =
OD  +1.00
OS  +2.25-1.25x34

(I believe on my old scipt the OS number started with a +3-something.

You are farsighted and young. That type of RX is hard to prescribe and sometimes hard to adjust to (much different that myopia).

I would take the glasses back on Monday and ask for a glasses recheck. They should retest your eye (at no charge) and if changes need to be made make them at no charge to you.

Almost any ophthalmologist, optometrist or optician will provide services to adjust to glasses within the first 30 days at no charge.

Also ask about getting your money back for the glasses if they remain unsatisfactory.

And next time you have a check up see an Eye MD ophthalmologist physician.
