Scleral buckle NOT ACKERMAN UGH
Spellcheck really screwed me up.
I had a scleral buckle in 2006. And have a macular Pucker. Not picker.
For having those problems you sound as though you have had a fabulous result. With a RD and ERM it would be expected that even with glasses your vision might be subnormal and somewhat distorted. The fact that your vision is so much better after cataract surgery indicates that prior to that surgery most of the blurr was cataract and not due to RD or ERM.
May I also mention I have an astigmatism. I can read wonderfully with reading glasses of course. I just never saw like this. So clear. So I wondered if the ‘pucker would be ‘seen’ more being that everything else is clear.
Thank you as always for responding.
Interesting. After my cataract surgery I still saw halos around lights. Dr then confirmed it was the astigamatism.
I’ve never seen normally. 2006 after my scleral buckle things took time. And then 2017 w the cataract removal it was much better. Took years for the edema to clear up and now I’m clear aside from floaters that have been there since 2006. It’s a different view seeing clear and like you said a slight distortion I guess is normal with the ERM.
