Numbness on the left side of the face.

My mother is experiencing a perplexing medical condition that several doctors have been unable to diagnose. She has complete numbness on one side of her face, although she retains both sensation and mobility in that area. Notably, when she becomes angry or engages in physical activity, the pupil on the numb side dilates, causing her to see very blurry. Additionally, the numb side of her face does not sweat during exercise, giving it a lifeless appearance.

Despite consulting multiple healthcare professionals, the cause of her symptoms remains unidentified. We are seeking further insights or a specialist referral to better understand and address her condition.

Your mother's symptoms are very worrisom. Her evaluation should be conductied by the best neurologist available.  If that physician is drawing blanks then she may need to be referred to the area referral tertiary care medical center.  She needs blood work, MRIs with special views. EMG studies, etc.

One correction if her face on one side has 'complete numbness' then it does, by definition, not retain sensation.   It is also unlikely that one disease or process would account for all of these.

One cause of failure to sweat on one side of the face is Harlequin syndrome which is a rare condition in which one half of the face fails to flush and sweat due to damage of the sympathetic fibers on the ipsilateral side. However it would not cause the pupil-blurry vision problem. A more common problem is Horner's Syndrome which can cause failure to sweat on one side of face but it has small pupil and droopy eyelid.   So there may be multiple causes. If you lived in the USA then this is the type of problem The Mayo Clinic handles.  Keep pushing as I said earlier these are worrisom symptoms.
