Ocular Hypotonia

I had a detached retina. It was repaired, but there were blood vessels that had to be removed. After my last Vitrectromy,, the retina remained flat, but the pressure remained near zero mm/hg.The doctors used a flourescing compound to try to detect leaks of the humor but were unable to detect any. Is there any treatment for low intraocular pressure? Are there any further tests that can be done to detect leaks? The only cases I have encountered on the internet involved punctures. What do I do? Are there any spedcialists in low intraocular pressure I could see?

I have encountered a similar problem after my eye was butchered 5 times by an incompetent retinal surgeon - before I found one who truly knew what they were coin g.  By then, the damage was done and I was told - quite unexpectedly - that I now needed a corneal transplant.  The problem is that  given my low intraocular pressure (now around 3, six months after the last surgery, I need to take more time to see if my eye will heal and the pressure will increase.  I have written to the Glaucoma foundation, but received no response - as you didn't either.  All I was told was that cortisone is currently the only thing one can do.  Let's connect directly to share information.  mitchritt at yahoo *******.  Hope you've had better luck than I.
