Ocusoft mOne Touch Thermal vs. Lipiflow

I'm not sure you can provide an unbiased answer to the above subject.

I'm a 75 year old male who suffers from Meibomian gland dysfunction.

My attending ophthalmologist only uses Ocusoft One Touch, whereas my local optometrist recommended Lipiflow.

I'm simply looking for relief of my condition and need some assistance in the preferred procedure.

Your opinion is greatly valued.

I would stay away from the optometrist and the Lipiflow. Many of them buy the machine then cycle as many patients through it as possible to pay for the instrument and make a profit. MBD is a chronic disease with a whole variety of treatments including lid hygeine, heat to the lids,  often topical or oral antbiotics.  You will need to continue therapy daily indefinitely.

Thank you so much for your very informative and helpful response!
Certainly. Ask your ophthalmologist about Avenova products. I find them helpful for recalcitrant MGD and chronic blepharitis:   https://avenova.com/collections/otc-products
