It may be possible to purchase replacement lenses to fit in your current frame. That may save you some money, at least if it's a single vision lens. Anything else escalates the cost beyond reasonable, IMO.
I once had a frame that I really liked and needed new Rx lenses but that shape lens was no longer available. They used the old lens to make a shape template and then made new lenses to fit. It added some cost and my style was out-of-date but I got to use those very comfortable frames for a few more years.
If your new Rx is only a slight change, it may not be worth it to get it filled now. Ask about your options wherever you get your glasses made.
