One eye tearing with ruled out Acquired Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction

I just went to the Optho who did the irrigation test on my tear duct that is CONSTANTLY tearing.  It is just the one eye.  He put me on eye drops for allergies.  What else could this condition be if there is no blockage???

I can't tell and if you just went to the Eye MD then you should have asked those questions while there. Call back and get the information.

He told me he did not know what else it could be.  He is treating it like an allergy.

Allergies generall cause intense itching and affect both eyes. If it doesn't respond to the allergy drops then get another opinion.
